Best For:
Any bettor who likes no fees, the best odds, arbitrage opportunities, and exchange-style betting
Stew's Take:
Novig is my favorite betting platform of any kind, let alone my favorite sports betting exchange app. It's the sweet spot of no fees, lots of action for quick bet fulfillment by other bettors, and usually the best sportsbook odds available anywhere. Although users cannot create missing markets themselves, there is a dedicated and highly responsive channel on their Discord server to request markets. For me, mobile-only is a non-issue because nearly all of my betting is done on mobile anyway. I've also had multiple positive interactions with their support staff.
Additional Features:
- ✓Winning bettors are never limited
- ✓Peer-to-peer betting marketplace
- ✓One of the best sports betting apps
- ✓Available in 40+ states

Pricing:
Low 1% commission on net winnings
Best For:
All bettors - especially those who often make their own odds and want them taken quickly by other bettors
Stew's Take:
Although their 1% commission can keep their odds from beating other exchanges (still FAR better than traditional sportsbooks), their biggest strength is the sheer amount of action, which makes them a must for most sports bettors because other bettors are quicker to take the odds you make. Like Novig, bettors cannot create missing markets but can request them via their Discord server. It should be noted that they recently REDUCED their commission from 3% down to 1%. To me, this shows a concern for customer experience and I would never expect to see such a move from a traditional sportsbook. PRO TIP: Use OddsJam (scroll down) to check the ProphetX odds because they automatically adjust the odds shown to account for the 1% commission.
Additional Features:
- ✓Better odds & commission than traditional sportsbooks
- ✓Back and lay betting options
- ✓On of the fastest payout sportsbooks
- ✓Among the best live betting sites

Set your own odds, create betting markets, and enjoy exchange-style betting with back and lay options across major sports.

Pricing:
Free - 0% commission/vig on all bets
Best For:
Any bettor who wants more opportunity and control when creating/editing their own odds and markets
Stew's Take:
4Cx is one of the best new sportsbooks and could easily become my favorite betting exchange as they gain more users to increase the action. But even as is, I find myself using it slightly more than ProphetX, which has the most action. Lower action is really their only sticking point; I find more and better opportunity here to create the best available odds across all sportsbooks (sometimes by quite a bit), and I can even create missing markets myself within existing events; Greater control in editing/adjusting my pending wagers. I wouldn't even list the lack of a mobile app as a con because their mobile website is excellent. The odds here are better often enough, and they do currently have ENOUGH action, to make this exchange well worth my time.
Additional Features:
- ✓Excellent user control when editing wagers
- ✓Dynamic real-time odds editing/adjustment
- ✓Among the best props betting sites (exchanges)
- ✓Available in ~33 US states

Kutt
Social Peer-to-Peer Betting Platform
- ✓3% commission on winnings only, zero vig
- ✓Peer-to-peer betting with friends or public
- ✓No market making from institutional gamblers/syndicates
Kutt is a peer-to-peer social betting platform that's legally considered a game of skill, so is available in several states where sports betting is restricted. You bet directly and exclusively against friends and other individual bettors instead of against a "house" or institutional gamblers and betting syndicates (which other exchanges use for liquidity). All bets are pre-funded to guarantee payouts, eliminating the risk of friends/users not paying. With low commission fees only on winnings and no traditional vig, Kutt offers better value than traditional sportsbooks for social and competitive betting on sports and non-sporting events.

Pricing:
3% commission on winning bets
Best For:
Bettors in restricted states, or who want to bet with friends or on non-sports events
Stew's Take:
Kutt is definitely thinking outside the box. They're different than other P2P betting exchanges because of non-sports betting markets and their heightened social aspect. You can join groups or create your own for your friends, see the profile and stats of the person you're betting against, or even send a private bet to a friend! There are definitely more ways to interact with their community if you choose. Android users, don't worry about the lack of an app, their mobile website is just as good. Desktop user, that same mobile website is what you get as well, which may feel odd at first but is easy to get used to. I only ranked this one lowest because of my limited use so far and fewer users resulting in less action, but with their strong offering this should improve over time. I was on an exclusive call for OddsFlex members with the Kutt founder and I like what he said about how they're trying to push the envelope of what a P2P betting exchange can be.
Additional Features:
- ✓Create or join social groups to compete & chat
- ✓Bet on sports, politics, entertainment
- ✓"Request a Bet" button right in the app/website
- ✓Legally a game of skill, available in states with sports betting restrictions

Using dual virtual currency—Fliff Coins for free play and Fliff Cash for paid contests that can be redeemed for real cash prizes—the platform provides a unique social betting experience. With ~41 states offering cash redemption, Fliff provides access to sports betting action in far more locations than traditional sportsbooks.

Pricing:
Higher than average sportsbook juice/vig (4-12%+)
Best For:
Bettors using guaranteed profit strategies as taught in the OddsFlex sports betting training (see below)
Stew's Take:
Fliff is a good option for the casual bettor and excellent for those using guaranteed profits strategies. They rarely (if ever) limit the bet sizes of winners but they do eventually remove deposit bonus eligibility if you keep winning. Until then, their matched deposit bonus menu is generous and unique, allowing you to select a lower match for a lower rollover. They used to have odds to rival the exchanges but not anymore, so it's no longer one of my main sportsbooks but I still use it in my arsenal in certain situations I learned in the OddsFlex training (see below).
Additional Features:
- ✓Available in ~49 US states
- ✓Cash redemption in ~41 states
FanDuel
Top-Rated Sportsbook & Daily Fantasy
- ✓Competitive odds and lines for a traditional sportsbook
- ✓Perks like daily profit boosts
- ✓User-friendly mobile app
FanDuel is a premier traditional sportsbook available in 23+ states, offering competitive odds, user-friendly interface, and excellent customer service. Known for innovative features like daily profit boosts and competitive same-game parlays, FanDuel consistently ranks among the top sportsbooks. With $0.50 minimum bets, up to $1 million maximum payouts, and fast FanDuel withdrawal time, the platform excels in both pre-game and live betting markets.

Pricing:
Standard sportsbook juice/vig (4-10%+)
Best For:
OddsFlex members & recreational bettors seeking reliability, competitive odds, and excellent user experience
Stew's Take:
I've used FanDuel for daily fantasy sports and enjoyed it. However, the FanDuel sportsbook is not available where I live, so I can only parrot the FanDuel review of people I trust who have used it for sports betting. The general consensus is that it's a good sportsbook with competitive odds, daily profit boosts, and a user-friendly interface. As far as DraftKings vs FanDuel, opinions are a mixed bag but they seem pretty equal overall. They are, however, known to impose limits on winning players, so I don't recommend it for those using guaranteed profits strategies unless they learn how to avoid sportsbook limits as taught in the OddsFlex training (see below).
Additional Features:
- ✓Excellent customer support
- ✓Up to $1M max payout per bet
- ✓Available in 23+ states

DraftKings
Leading US Sports Betting Platform
- ✓Comprehensive sports coverage
- ✓Frequent exclusive sportsbook promos & bonuses
- ✓Extensive prop betting
DraftKings is one of the largest and most popular traditional sportsbooks in the United States, available in 25+ states. Offering comprehensive sports coverage, competitive odds, and a robust mobile app, DraftKings provides a full-featured betting experience. With $1 minimum bets, up to $1 million maximum payouts, frequent promotions, same-game parlays, and extensive prop betting, it's a top choice for recreational and casual bettors.

Pricing:
Standard sportsbook juice/vig (4-10%+)
Best For:
OddsFlex members & recreational bettors wanting comprehensive betting options and frequent promos
Stew's Take:
Like FanDuel, my experience with DraftKings is limited to DFS because the DraftKings sportsbook is not available where I live. However, I'm including it here because according to the DraftKings review of people I trust, it's a good sportsbook for a casual bettor or those using guaranteed profits strategies as taught in the OddsFlex training (see below). They are fairly quick to impose limits on winning players who don't know how to avoid that. Bottom line is, it's good to use multiple sportsbooks and if this one is available where you live then it's a good option to have.

Understanding the Comparison: Commission/Vig shows the house edge or fees. Exchange sportsbooks charge 0-3% commission on winning bets only, while social and traditional sportsbooks build ~4-12%+ vig into odds. Lower commission means better long-term profitability.
Winner Limits: Traditional sportsbooks typically limit or ban consistent winners. Exchanges don't limit winners since you bet against other users, not the house. This is crucial for serious bettors.
Understanding Different Sportsbook Types
Not all sports betting platforms are created equal. Understanding the differences between sports betting exchanges, traditional sportsbooks, social platforms, and tools helps you choose the right options for your betting strategy and goals.
SportsBetting Exchanges
Better Odds, No LimitsBetting exchanges facilitate peer-to-peer betting where you wager against other bettors instead of the house. Exchanges charge 0-3% commission only on winning bets, compared to the 4-10%+ vig built into traditional sportsbook odds. More importantly, exchanges never limit winning bettors because they profit from commission or other methods regardless of outcomes. This makes exchanges ideal for serious bettors, arbitrage opportunities, and anyone who's been limited at traditional sportsbooks.
Traditional Sportsbooks
Comprehensive FeaturesTraditional licensed sportsbooks like DraftKings and FanDuel offer the most comprehensive betting experience with wide market coverage, promotional offers, and robust mobile apps. They're regulated and available in 25+ states. The tradeoff is higher vig (4-10%+) and a tendency to limit or ban consistent winners. Traditional sportsbooks work well for recreational bettors and those who value convenience and promotions over maximum odds value.
Social Sportsbooks
Wider AvailabilitySocial sportsbooks like Fliff operate under sweepstakes and social gaming laws rather than traditional gambling licenses. This allows them to operate in 40+ states compared to 20+ for traditional books. They use virtual currency models with free-to-play and paid contest options. While payouts and betting structures differ from traditional gambling, social sportsbooks provide an alternative for users in states without legalized sports betting. Note: Exchanges also typically use the sweepstakes model.
Professional Betting Tools
Tools like OddsJam scan all sportsbooks to find +EV bets and guaranteed profit opportunities automatically. Instead of manually comparing odds and line shopping across dozens of sportsbooks, these platforms do it instantly and alert you to profitable opportunities. Educational platforms like OddsFlex provide structured training to improve your betting skills and profit strategies. For serious bettors, professional tools and training typically pay for themselves within days through the edge they provide.
Choosing the Right Mix
Most successful bettors don't rely on a single platform. They maintain accounts at multiple sportsbooks for line shopping, using exchanges for the best odds and advanced strategies, strategically leveraging sportsbook promotions from social and traditional books, and employing professional tools to find profitable betting opportunities. The key is understanding what each platform type offers and using them complementarily as taught in the OddsFlex training.
Frequently Asked Questions
A sportsbook is a platform—online or retail—where you legally place bets on sports events. Licensed sportsbooks accept wagers, set odds and betting lines, handle deposits and withdrawals, and pay out winnings. Sports betting exchanges are a type of peer-to-peer sportsbook where you bet against other bettors instead of the house, offering better odds and no winner limits.
Betting exchanges offer several advantages: better odds (no bookmaker margin but sometimes small commission), ability for users to lay bets (act as the bookmaker), no account limits for winning bets, ability to create your own markets, and peer-to-peer pricing driven by market demand. Exchanges are ideal for arbitrage betting, hedging, and serious bettors who get limited at traditional sportsbooks.
Yes, using multiple sportsbooks is not only allowed but highly recommended for serious bettors. Line shopping across multiple sportsbooks ensures you get the best odds on every bet, which significantly increases long-term profitability. Many professional bettors maintain accounts at 5-10+ sportsbooks. You can legally sign up for accounts at any licensed sportsbook operating in your state. Just ensure you meet age requirements and maintain responsible betting practices across all platforms. Our bankroll management tools can help you manage multiple sportsbook accounts and keep track of your total combined bankroll.
Sportsbooks rarely ban users, but many do limit winners. SPORTS BETTING EXCHANGES do not limit winning bettors because you're betting against other users, not against the house. Exchanges make money from commission or other methods regardless of who wins, so they welcome sharp bettors because they make money from them the same as they do from anyone. This makes exchanges ideal for professional bettors who get limited at regular sportsbooks. TRADITIONAL SPORTSBOOKS do limit (and occasionally ban) winning bettors because winners costs them money.
The best sportsbook depends on your betting style and goals. Betting exchanges like Novig and ProphetX offer the best odds with zero or low commission and never limit winners, making them ideal for serious bettors. Traditional and social sportsbooks like FanDuel, DraftKings and Fliff provide comprehensive features, wide availability, and frequent promotions for recreational bettors. Using multiple sportsbooks for line shopping maximizes profitability.
FanDuel and DraftKings are best for beginners using traditional sportsbooks, offering user-friendly interfaces, extensive educational resources, low minimum bets, excellent customer support, and comprehensive betting markets. For sports betting beginners focused on learning profitable strategies, betting exchanges like Novig (zero commission) combined with OddsFlex sports betting training provide the strongest foundation for long-term success without risk of being limited.
Betting exchanges consistently offer the best sportsbook odds. Novig and 4CX charge zero commission, while ProphetX charges just 1% on net winnings—far better than traditional sportsbooks' 4-10%+ built-in vig, which worsens their odds. Among traditional sportsbooks, odds vary by market and timing. The best strategy is line shopping: maintaining accounts at multiple sportsbooks and using odds comparison tools like OddsJam to find the best available odds.
DraftKings vs FanDuel is largely personal preference—both are top-rated traditional sportsbooks. DraftKings offers extensive same-game parlays and comprehensive sports coverage in 25+ states. FanDuel provides competitive odds, daily profit boosts, and slightly faster payouts in 23+ states. Both limit winning bettors, charge standard vig, and offer similar promotions. For best results, use both for line shopping alongside betting exchanges like ProphetX for optimal odds.
No, licensed and regulated sportsbooks in the US are not rigged. They operate under strict state oversight with regular audits, use certified random number generators, and maintain transparent operations. Traditional sportsbooks profit from built-in vig (commission) on odds, not by rigging outcomes. Betting exchanges eliminate this concern entirely since you bet peer-to-peer against other bettors, with the platform simply facilitating matches.
Payout speeds vary by sportsbook and withdrawal method. ProphetX offers the fastest withdrawals with instant payouts via Aeropay for eligible banks. Betting exchanges like Kutt process in 1-3 business days, while Novig takes 2-5 business days. Traditional sportsbooks like DraftKings and FanDuel generally take 1-5 business days, with faster options available for verified accounts using e-wallets like PayPal. Social sportsbooks like Fliff process within 3-5 business days. For fastest payouts, use established platforms, complete account verification early, and choose e-wallet or instant withdrawal methods.
